Prime Brokerage Middle Office Analyst

As a Barclays Prime Brokerage Middle Office Analyst, Â you will be based within the Prime Synthetics Operations Service team that provides key support to the Equity Synthetics desk and their clients. Â You will be responsible for providing lifecycle management and query management, as well as pre-trade functions and reconciliations support to Trades and Sales teams.

What will you be doing?

•   Delivering the highest standard of service and support of the trade lifecycle to internal and external clients
•   Managing queries received from clients, trading/sales, operations and counterparties in an accurate and timely fashion.
•   Coordinating escalations with Settlements and Product Control globally, and work with the desk /front office prime services team to resolve and mitigate risk exposure.
•   Performing trade validations, reconciliations and other daily controls to ensure all operational risks are mitigated in a timely and accurate mannerÂ
•   Managing client account static and swap defaults within our swap trade capture system. This is an integral aspect of accurate and efficient trade capture.Â
•   Identifying operational issues and conduct root cause analysis and engaging with our partners in IT and Product to identify tactical and strategic solutions

What we’re looking for:

•   Bachelor’s degree (no specific area)
•   Financial Services experienceÂ
•   Experience in Trade Support/Middle Office and/or Equity Derivatives, including Swaps is a plus.
•   Experience in providing client service role is a plus

Skills that will help you in the role:

•   Analytical skills in understanding issues raised, determining action required and implementing solutions, address root cause and improve the Control environment.
•   Good time management, prioritising tasks, ability to manage expectations well and able to meet deadlines.
•   Understanding of the trade lifecycle and front to back workflow knowledge, with exposure to different teams throughout the trade process surrounding Equity Swaps.
•   Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel. Influencing and relationship-building skills
